The leases are horrid, and if you take over someones lease you are stuck with it. The employees are nice, and it is in walking distance of campus and this great pond. But the Pool and Vollyball courts are unusable, and lord help you if you are down wind of the sewage treatment pools on site! No enclosed spaces for dogs and plenty of feral cats. Rather expensive for what little space you do receive.

Hi Anonymous! Thanks for all of your kind words! We are in a great location and that pond is so picturesque! It??s a nice quiet place to go after a long day. And although I don??t know your name, I??m sure we loved you too. Now let??s switch gears to discuss your concerns. There were some things you were not pleased with that I would like to address. The only way that Lion??s Way can continue to improve and grow is through feedback such as this. As you can tell, we do read these reviews and we take them to heart. It was only through resident feedback that we were able to discover the source of that odor and correct it. The pond that you were referring to is an old unused parish oxidation pond. The residents releasing their pets and then those pets multiplying was also brought to our attention. We contacted animal control and we, along with some resident assistance, are attending to this heartbreaking situation. We hope through education, people will stop releasing their pets. I am sorry you disliked our lease. It??s a pretty standard lease written to protect all parties involved. The pool and volleyball court is usable. They are closed from time to time for upkeep, chemical treatment, or (as with the pool) mechanical upgrades. Once our current construction project is completed, we are looking into adding a fenced pet area. I??m so glad that this is obvious interest in that project! Thanks again for writing! ---LWA Property Director
