My wife and I just moved out after living at Acadia Park for 1.5 yrs. Like the other poster, our carpet was NOT cleaned before moving in...but of course we were charged for carpet cleaning when we moved out. We had $150 out of the $300 deposit taken out for "cleaning". I've been in at least 8 different apartments in my life and have NEVER had money taken out of my deposit.
Other cons:
1) dirty apartments even when moving in
2) maintenance is NOT done when asked
3) lawn areas are kept mowed but they do NOT enforce the residents to pick up their dogs feces...so good luck trying to have fun on the grass.
4) rent was WAY to high for the area
Pros:
1) location was convenient for me (close to Leonard J. Chabert hospital)
2) free cable tv
3) office staff was nice

If you recieved or in the future recieve a dirty apartment as an adult you make the choice to acceppt or decline and you are not required to move in. So if you accepted the apartment dirty then that says alot about you and it is not a suprise that you where charged for leaving the apartment dirty.
