I Really Enjoyed It

OK, I read all the previous reviews about Seasons apartments and I must say some of the reviewers were nothing, but complainers and speaking out of anger. First, this is an apartment complex, NOT A hotel resort! All apartments comes with policies, rental requirements, noises (from top or from outside), and maintainence issues.
I've lived here for 1.5 years and the only reason I'm leaving (breaking my lease) is due to job relocation out-of-state. Wasn't for the new job, I would continue to live here years if I had to!
Management: Maybe it's because the management and I got along great from day one, I've NEVER had problems with management. Pam, Pat, Patricia, and Marlene all love me! Those ladies would do anything to make my stay pleasurable. Yes, I've heard that Pam (Manager) can be a ----- and rude, but she had never shown that side of her to me for one second. When I found Seasons, I did EVERYTHING online from Florida. Pam and I talked over the phone, she told me what was required to secure an apartment and we got it done. Now that I'm leaving, I had to break the lease 6 months early. Well, guess what, I will pay the appropriate fees that was stated on the lease for breaking the lease and the ladies at the office again treated me with professionalism. They even asked for a hug before I leave!
Maintainenece: Well, again, I made friends with the main maintainence guy and he helped me whenver I needed him in the SAME day. I would call the office to report a service request, then my issues were taken care of! In the 18 months (1.5 years) that I've lived here, the maintainence crew resolved air conditioning unit problems twice, some minor pest problems, repainting of the balcony request, broken ceiling fan, and the door bell repair all with the same day of the service request. They were all resolved up to my expectation and satisfaction! Everything that is man-made is due to be broken, this maintainence crew had done a wonderful job for me!
Apartment Unit: Yes, the kitchen appliances are older, bathroom fixtures are older, but everything else is fairly modern. I remodeled a little and add a little more modern touch to my unit such as replacing an old chandelaire in the dining area for a contemporary halogen dimmer light and mounted a 46" LCD flat screen above the fireplace, a lot can be done to customize these wonderful apartment to your taste. Again, you must restore the unit to its original condition in which you found it, but 90% of the things in the unit is just fine!
Surroundings & Neighborhoods: This apartment complex sits in the serenity of the most western suburb of New Orleans. The apartment complex is quite and clean and ALL my visitors states how cute and cool my apartment complex is! I've got nothing but complements about where I lived. There's also a running path along the levee right next to the Seasons apartment, great for jogging and biking. There are some amazing beautiful homes right north of the Seasons apartments. No crimes and perfect area for families. Plenty of restaurants to choose from within an mile radius and Super Walmart is right down the street. Close to the airport, but don't hear planes and easily accessible to the interstate highways.
Neighbors: the time I lived here, I've had young couples, young professionals, old couples, people with dogs, people without pets, ------, Asians, --------, Whites, beautiful people, ugly people, and/or family with kids as my neighbors. I think it's great! Again, you won't hear dogs barking much and kids will play around after school hours. I had no troubles with neighbors where it's not out of the ordinary. This is an apartment complex, you WILL hear foot stomping, people dropping things, TV, music, and YES, even people going to the bathroom noises! Suck it up, it's an apartment!
Misc:
1) I lived on a 2nd floor unit
2) I had DirecTV satellite on a pole on my balcony
3) I pay $693/month (water & sewage included)
4) There are plenty of parking, but after 9 PM you may have to park out on the street
5) AC cools perfectly in the summer months (for me at least)
6) Commute to Downtown New Orleans in the morning can be a pain (plan for 40 minutes on the road one way) from 7 - 9 AM
7) West Esplanade Ave is another great way to use to get to Metairie
Obviously everyone will have a difference in opinion and will experience different with the management and the maintainence crew here. What I experience may not be what you'll experience. Everything I've shared here is my experience and I had a great experience with this apartment. I liked it so much I've recommended my girlfriend to move into the same complex, but different building. She also loves it!
Just like everything else in life, if people like you, then your life will be easier. Good luck and I'm sad to leave New Orleans and this apartment where I called home!
