I loved the apartment for the first two weeks. Then came the fleas...twice! The walls are so thin here. I hope that everyone else would feel pretty upset about hearing thier neighbor peeing or fighting with his girlfriend at 3 am. I actually hit the walls once and was cursed out and told to mind my own business. Forget about even trying to complain about the noise because all you will be told to do is call the police. For about two weeks (without notice and iincluding Saturdays) they decided to put in new stairs begining at 7 am. Forget trying to sleep in after working until midnight! At times the dryer would smell as if something was burning and not a thing was ever done. I am not sure why they have security gates. It is such a large complex that people are constantly comming in and out. It takes no effort following someone else in once the gate has opened. Also, parking became a pain unless you where comming home between 10 am and 3 pm. Overall it is pretty safe, but do not expect to get too much sleep.

I lived at Sunlake from 2002 to 2003 and the first 6 months were fine. The apt. itself is nice for the price. Until the neighbors from hell moved in upstairs. They stayed up all night. The guy was a stomp dancer, worked out with weights and fought with his girlfreind all the time. I reported it to the office and they told me to call the police. I reported it to the police and they told me to tell the office. I banged on the wall one time and after that they would leave water running in the kitchen and bathroom all night, to purposely try to annoy me. They threw bags of garbage off the balcony, peed off the balcony, threw beer bottles at my pet. I kept complaining and eventually they asked me to move! Have not had any problems at my new place in 2 years.
