We've been in our apartment almost a year, and I still love coming home to it every day. The grounds are beautiful, the apartments range from adorable to gorgeous. (We're in an adorable 1 bedroom...=)..), and the ducks...I love the ducks.
The lakes do not smell. When the weather is cooler, we raise our windows and listen to the fountains and the ducks. We face the lake and have never gotten a whiff of anything unpleasant smelling.
We did have a problem with leaking. (We're on the 3rd floor.) But the maintenance people came out as soon as we called...patched the spots and we haven't had a problem since.
As far as noise goes, before moving in we asked about that. If we were going to live on the 1st or 2nd floor, I wanted to know it wouldn't be loud. The rep told us straight...it's an apartment...you will have noise. So we chose the 3rd floor. Problem solved. We don't hear our surrounding neighbors.
We've lived in a couple of apartments before this one and I tell people that if you're willing to spend a little extra for the area...this is THE place to live.
