I moved to the Lakes of Chateau after Hurricane Katrina. One of the best things about the Lakes of Chateau was the staff. They were very nice. Of course the grounds were not perfect after the storm. However, little by little improvements have been made to restore the facility. Last year they repainted the entire complex, replaced cracked and damaged concrete, and made other improvements. This year they resurfaced the tennis court. Except for a three month period when there was a temporary change over in personnel, the staff has always been excellent. In the last three months those few new staff members have been replaced with excellent ones. The maintenance staff always fixes whatever is broken. Of course no place is perfect. Once or twice maintenance had to come back to finish repairs. But they have always worked overtime if needed to fix what was wrong, especially in an emergency. My building is very quiet. We have one family with a child. The facility is very nice. Tenants like to walk and jog around the lakes. There are stations, with bags available to pick up dog litter, all around the complex. Occasionally someone will not pick up the litter. Occasionally there is a problem. Last month the staff sent out a notice about two problems that had occurred. This is the first time we have had problems such as these. Overall the complex is very quiet and clean. The Lakes of Chateau is a wonderful place to live. I would recommend this apartment complex. This resposnse is quite OBVIOUSLY written by the staff and/ or management in response to the review I left only 1 day before this one. I find it quite odd that a review for the property has not been left since 2006, and just 1 day after I leave my review in 2008, someone happens to leave a review contrasting most all of my complaints and falsely praising what is a severely flawed complex. I stand by my original complaints and am amazed that management would so obviously stoop to such low and unethical means to defend an already flawed property. Anyone with common sense can read this and tell it is written by someone who works for the company when compared to most all other reviews. The damage is done Lakes of Chateau, find a more honorable and ethical way to defend your property rather than an anonymous review written like a sales brochure. A new low.
