The apartments themselves are not bad, other than you can hear straight through the walls and ceilings (I can here the people in the apartment above me when they talk).
The thing that really makes me angry is that out of the 4 or 5 employees that "tend" to the gated entrance at night, only one actually checks for a parking tag.
The others just leave the gate open as they watch drivers enter the complex, or they leave the gate open and don't sit in the booth (who knows where they are'').
If you're not concerned with having a protected area at night, then you will like living in Bayou Oaks.
The complex is quiet and most of the neighbors aren't loud.
But if you are a single female living by yourself (like I and some of my friends are), then you should be warned that any old person can drive or walk into the complex at night.
