Bayou Oaks is a very inviting community. I will say that the 1br/1ba that I lived in before upgrading to the 2br/1ba was very clean and everything was perfect about the place. The only downfall were my neighbors. They were so loud. I made numerous complaints and the neighbors got warnings, but they still continued the noise at all hours of the night not even realizing that we were under them trying to sleep.
BUUUUUT, now that we have moved into the 2br/1ba, we have absolutely no complaints. I guess that was just a case of unruly neighbors. Parking is great. The pool area is well kept and the staff is excellent. The grounds are landscaped and thoroughly cleaned every Tuesday morning. The front gate is always tended to at night and I feel safe knowing that the guests are monitored.
Bayou Oaks is centrally located with Wal-Mart literally 2 minutes away; The park next door for the people with pets or children; and off the main road away from most of the noise in exception to the jets and airplanes that pass frequently, but you get used to it pretty quick.
I would definitely recommend this apartment to any young couple with 1-2 kids or just anyone in general. It is modest but not too modest. i would rather pay for an apartment here than an overpriced apartment somewhere else and have practically the same amenities.
