Leaks and Bugs

Upon moving in to my apartment I was surprised to find my apartment had pale pink walls, a beige ceiling, and appliances that are old and in poor condition. If the apartment I saw before moving in had looked anything like this I would never have moved in. After a few weeks I found out that both my washing machine and dishwasher leak. I called maintenance a few times and nothing has been done, finally I gave up and fixed them myself. As summer approached my air conditioning started to leak (above the sink in the bathroom). They do nothing to fix it, only tell me to turn it off until it stops dripping and turn it back on again.
After a few weeks bugs started showing up in my apartment, at first I would notice a wasp or a roach once in a while... then I started noticing a wasp or roach on a daily basis. Eventually the wasps stopped (I finally bought a bottle of caulking and fixed the holes I could find), but the roaches are still major problem. There was one week where I found 6 dead roaches, one in the bathtub, two in the kitchen, 3 in my living room, and one in my bedroom. They have semi-regular pest control, but I don't know if they actually spray or if they just put a piece of paper on your floor telling you that they were there.
Other miscellaneous problems include the dryer taking 2 cycles to dry a medium size load, a squirrel getting into my apartment from the fireplace (this does not qualify as a maintenance emergency by the way, so you will have to figure out for yourself to figure out how to get a pissed off squirrel out of your house), half my bulbs were burnt out when I moved in, trash compactor not operational, noisy neighbors, feral cat colony that neighbors feed, and a neighbor who leaves her trash in front of her door for weeks at a time (usually causing the cats to tear into the trash and create a lovely mess).

I agree with this fully i have every single problem plus mice and my apt. smells like cat urine and i DON'T have a cat. I told them about the smell and the said they would put an air freshener in my a.c. to cover the smell. .. nice

And I thought I was the only one who thought the pest control man just put a piece of paper on my floor telling me he'd been there.
