Cozy Apartment, but proceed with caution

I lived at Pinhook South apartments for 6 months. Overall I was very pleased with the apartment complex. Maintenence and the office staff were very friendly. When a problem arises you may have to call more than once for immediate attention, but not more than twice. The apartment itself was nice. My only complaint is that the walls are paper thin so you can hear everything, I DO MEAN EVERYTHING, your neighbors are saying and doing. I didn't have any problems with anything major in the apartment, but I will say I think the rent is a little high. When I moved in it was $505, when I moved out it had gone up to $565 (I think). I didn't mind paying $505 because it was a quiet place to live and very cozy, but I would absolutely not pay $565 to live there. The grounds were kept very nice when I first moved there. Upon move-out I noticed they weren't as nice, but that had alot to do with the newer neighbors leaving trash down. I was happy to move out when I did because it seemed as if the apartment complex was turning "ghetto" due to the things that people would do. My neighbors used to leave beer cans on the patio down stairs and my neighbors upstairs were hanging clothes on the balcony. One night I returned home at about 12 a.m. and one of my neighbors was getting a haircut on the balcony!! Overall the apartment is nice and Pinhook South is the obvious choice if you want to live in a quiet location isolated from alot of thru traffic.
