Trust me, you DO NOT want to live here. I just moved out from living there for 13 months. Very loud, trashy place. Many people hanging out in the parking lots every night and knocking on your door and busting car windows. I moved out and went to the office to see if I owed anything. Melete Terry told me that I didn't owe anything and to just drop the keys off. I moved out and TWO MONTHS later, I get a phone call from the collection agency saying that I owe them $315. I did not leave on bad terms, and I did not owe any money. I went to the office and spoke to Dedra Shruggs, the manager, she was very rude to me, yelled at me in front of residents told me to get a lawyer and she was not speaking to me and kicked me out of the office. To me that is not professional at all and I still have no idea where the charges came from. The paper says that my carpet was stained and they had to professinally clean it. There was NOTHING wrong with the carpet, I always kept it very clean. That was just ONE thing. I am NOT prejudice, but if you are white, do NOT live there. 90% of the residents are ghetto black people that play the music loud at all hours of the night and nothing gets done about it. Everyone in the office in black. I moved out at the same time a black girl did under the SAME EXACT circumstances. She did not get charged anything and NEVER got a bill but I did. Something just isn't right. Whatever you do, DO NOT live here. It's terrible!!!!!

Hi I use to live in Valley View apts and I would visit friends in Cypress and it was very nice and quiet. I have not been there in a year so I don't know what has changed. My comment is just be careful what you write because it sounded like you threw an accusation about the manager since EVERYONE was ------- Americans. Also using "ghetto black people" is very offensive because first ghetto is not an adjective...well was not meant to be used that way. It is to describe a poor area and not all black people act crazy! They do have people of different race that act like some animals. Im sure Cypress changed especially after Hurricane Katrina/Rita and it may have received residents that were just ignorant.(------..whites..etc) I hope you found a place where you can be satisfied and live comfortably.

i agree with the first comment dedra is very unprofessional.. she needs to get her ass kicked if you ask me.. im just counting my days till i can move out of this ---- hole place.. if your not darked skinned dnt move here. people will steal and break your windows. and littles kids dnt get out of the street when you drive by espescially in the back of the apts.. people here are very ghetto the parents of these children are very ignorant.. dnt move here the price isnt worth the headache stay south of 210 move towards nelson where decent people live

I don't live there but as you know word of mouth gets around. I've met Deidra one time and I could care less if I ever meet her again. I went in with a friend of mines to see about renting an apartment and it is indeed very unprofessional in that office. Well let me refase that the manager is very unprofessional with the way she talk and apperance. She had a wrinkle shirt, flip flops and a odor. She spoke loud as residents came in to pay rent. useing foul language.laughing out loud. And I also over heard other tenants speaking about the maintnace man with they called him Honor or Honoree saying he have sex with some of the tenants and he'll make sure they don't get evicted. I feel sorry for anyone that lives therer under those sorry circumstances. So if the manager is the way she is then i can assure all kind of stuff is being allowed to happen there.
