i lived there from the beginning of february until the middle of october in 2001 and couldn?t get away soon enough! the electricity on one half of the house (where my computer and refrigerator was) would go out at least twice a month. they claim they have 24-hr. maintenance, which is a huge lie. one night, there were termites coming out of every possible crack in the wall, and i was scared to go to sleep for fear that something would crawl in my nose or mouth. orkin didn?t come until 2 days later. the whole place is ghetto. the huge potholes all over the parking lot took a chunk out of my tire, and when i told management about it, they refused to pay for a new tire, saying that it was my responsibility to have insurance to cover it. the water in the shower would go from boiling hot to ice cold. i almost burned myself plenty of times by simply taking a shower. if i wasn?t getting burnt, i was getting frozen to death. one day, the entire bathroom mirror just fell down and shattered all over the floor. when we moved out, we cleaned the place better than it was before we moved in, and they still only gave me $40 off of my $150 deposit. they claimed they had to replace all of the carpet b/c of a stain we left (the stain was there when we moved in and we reported it, and they claimed they would keep it on record for whenever we moved out). basically, this is one of the sorriest apartment complexes in the lake charles area, and had i known this before i moved in, they never would have gotten my money. it's also located in a bad, drug infested neighborhood, and is right across from the projects. i heard that a girl was just kidnapped from the food fast convenience store just two blocks up the road. i had lived with my parents in the same house for my entire life and i didn't really know about this neighborhood. i seriously DO NOT recommend this place for even my worst enemy!
