This apartment stinks. They require the residents to steam clean the carpets upon leaving. I never had to do that in any of the other apartments I lived in. Regardless, they would have no way of knowing whether I did it or not if the carpet had absolutely no wear or damage whatsoever. After doing some price comparisons, getting the carpet steam cleaned would have cost me most of the security deposit anyway, so I thought I would just take my chances and not get it done. Well, they didn't get me for that since I lied and told them that I cleaned the carpets, but they said that the countertops and bathtub were dirty. Whatever. I am a neat freak to begin with and realized that they were jazz up whatever they could to keep my money. The management is aweful.
