First off I had to wait 3 weeks for construction in my apartment to be completed.. which means I had to put all of my belongings in storage for 3 weeks (in other words, I had to move twice). Well I guess I'll take part of the blame for that.. I should have planned better. I was notified on a wednesday that my apartment would be ready to move into after 5 on friday (actually, I called.. they didn't bother to call me). Then I got a call at 4:00 thursday evening that the apartment wasn't cleaned yet, but the cleaning person would have it ready by noon on Saturday. Imagine my surprise when I showed up at noon and the apartment hadn't been touched. It still had plaster in the bath tub, sheet rock dust on everything, and was just a total post construction mess from top to bottom. I ended up spending the entire Saturday cleaning the apartment and moved in on Sunday. There are several issues with the apartment that management doesn't seem to care about.. broken mouldings, mold, broken closet doors, broken blinds, faucets that I'm pretty sure have been here since the 80's, etc, etc.. Oh, and I have no lights in the kitchen or living room.. I reported this before I moved in on Friday.. its now Thursday and it still hasn't been addressed, even though I've called everyday to inquire about it. They keep telling me that they know about it and it will be addressed soon. I went out to the dumpster to throw away some boxes.. the dumpsters had just been dumped the day before and there was old sheetrock from another apartment in there.. this means that they are concentrating more on getting apartments ready to rent then they are about taking care of the ones that are already rented. If you're considering moving here.. make sure everything works in your apartment before you move in, don't take their word for anything. I've lived here a couple times before, actually twice as a child while living with my parents and once before by myself.. this is the worst experience I've ever had here and had I known it was gonna be like this, I would have never considered this place.
