Crossroads

Not the best. From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 5/31/2008 Years at this apartment: 2007 - 2008   Well my 1 year lease is almost up and we are getting out of here. The place isn't horrible. It is in a good location. It's close to Lakeside mall, a lot of restaurants and grocery stores. The location is probablly one of the best things about the place though. When we first moved in the apt was very dirty - the shower tiles were filthy, the toilet had urine left under the seat, and the mirror above the sink had toothpaste or something on it. Obviously it wasn't cleaned. The worst problem, though, is the leak in the bedroom. When we first moved in we had people coming in several times that first week to check the carpet and the window in the bedroom. We asked what it was about, but all we were told is that they may have to replace the window..... which they never did. We just recently discovered the leak about 2 months ago. Our bed was upagainst that wall and we didn't notice. We moved a desk into the bedroom so we had to move the bed to a different wall. Then we noticed that everytime it rained, the carpet near the window became soaken wet. This has been going on, obviously, since we moved in and it has never been fixed. They keep telling us that a contractor is coming, but they never have and it has never been fixed. They keep telling us they are going to send someone with a carpet cleaner - never happened. In response to the previous review about pest control - I've never had a prob personally. I always get a notice on the door two days before. It is annoying that the guy comes in with a itty-bitty needle and just puts a drop of poison in the kitchen, but he always has been friendly. I spray my own insect poison and it hasn't been too bad. Overall the place is alright, but they are increasing their prices and in my opinion this apt is not worth the extra money.
