A little overpriced, but not bad.

I lived in Posada del Ray from 99 to 01. My ex-boyfriend and I moved in because it was the only place with a relatively cheap deposit, and the apartment they showed us had all new carpet, paint, mirror, faucets, dishwasher, and a new refrigerator. The bedrooms were HUGE, with big walk-in closets. All in all, the size of the apartment and the state it was in was pleasant. Not only that, we were lucky enough to get a first floor place right by the parking lot, so moving was super-easy.

We never had a lot of trouble there...the staff was okay, and when we had a problem, it was usually fixed within a week, sometimes sooner. I never saw rats in the apartment, although we did have a small roach problem during rainy weather. Nothing a couple of roach traps didn't fix. The pools and gardens were kept up...I used to sit out there with friends when the weather was nice and enjoy little pool parties.

The main problem I had was with the noise. All the "ghetto" kids would sit outside in the parking lot and play music really loud, and parents would leave their kids outside to play right in front of our apartment until sometimes midnight. The walls were kind of thin, a lot of nights I was awake due to the girls living next door to my bedroom playing techno really loud at 2 in the morning. The maintenance man would be out right in front of our place at 7am to use the leaf blower...that was annoying, but I dealt with it because that was their job, and I'd rather them do their job than not.

The cost of living there was a little overpriced, I thought, but you got a lot of room and everything was new when we moved in. You do need a roommate to live there, at least to help with rent. It's a bit steep for one person.

Overall, the place was all right, and I'd recommend it to anyone who can afford it and wants a simple place with a good bit of room.
