Pool and Gate problems

It was a nicer complex when I moved in two years ago, but lately the appeal has worn off for me, in the form of little things that begin to add up over time.

Children in the pool area often without parental supervision, even at night. It's almost impossible to enjoy the pool area because of one particular group of kids who act like they have the run of the area. Even if they're not already there, they're bound to show up and ruin the serenity by doing endless cannonballs until you've had enough of them and decide to leave the pool. There's a safety ring they've treated as a toy, which is now in complete ruins. If they're not in the pool, this group will stand on the street corner trying to solicit passing traffic to buy refreshments from a little stand they set up some afternoons during the summer; going so far as to post advertisements throughout the building.

The security gate is often left open by residents, either propped up with a board or a rock, or tied back with a piece of rope. On several occasions, I've removed these props so the gate could remain closed. The purpose of the security gate is for security, so, as a resident, I don't want it being left open for whatever reason this has become the recurring problem it is. The front office issues every apartment a gate key, or there's one gate you can punch in a code to enter. Use it! Some residents appear to be without gate keys; it's not unusual to see them climbing the gate to get into the building. Again, not a very secure feeling.

Parking is a problem. It may be that there's adequate parking, I'm not sure, but many residents park in areas that aren't parking spaces, most notably in front of trees on the side streets. This can be a problem if you're parked in an approved parking space next to a tree, because it becomes something of an obstacle pulling out in the morning (coupled with residents who park in the street behind parking spaces).

Noise hasn't really been an issue, other than the sound of neighbors congregating on their balconies when you're trying to sleep. The pool and the security gate are my two biggest issues. Some kind of supervision at the pool should really be provided, especially in this day and age when parents lack the ability to be responsible for their children.
