I am a former resident who very much liked these apartments, but was not to appreciative of their pricing. Everywhere in this city has pot holes. Not just around this building!
Also another comment that's offensive is the comment about the apartments offered to the public with moderate incomes. These are public apartments, and not excluvise to only the snobs of this city. It's unfair to classify any neighbors as 'thugs" or whatever! If you indeed had a valid and unbiased complaint, the leasing agents or manager would have taken care of the issue immediately.
These are apartments in an urban area. That's part of the reason the rent is the price it is. They are very very nice! The neighbors are very nice! It was a convenient and pleasant place to live.

It is clearly not fair that some would have to pay a premium for ammenities and location, while those getting gov. assistance get the same location, ammenities, etc., at a much cheaper price. I'm all for gov. assisted housing, but not in urban areas where rent is high. I have lived in cheaper housing in my day, and its become evident over the years, that the lower the rent, the less (in general) the tennants were invested in keeping the property safe, clean, etc. I was looking forward to renting at the can co., but will not, after reading these reviews, and realizing that the can co. is just like every other apartment complex, except worse, I'll pass.

Amen, sister ... I'm looking for an apartment too. I've been very intrigued by the American Can Co., but I would NEVER subject myself to the alleged living and noise conditions given that only ONE person of MANY had something "overly" nice to say about a bldg. with repeated/same complaints from numerous tenants (ie - noise, thin walls, & govt assted individuals living in the same bldg when I'd have to spend my hard earned $ on an equally "decent" apt.). This just makes me think that the "KIND" critic is an employee or owner at this location. Can anybody say, "underhanded rat" or "slum- and rodent-lord"? Thanks but no thanks and I'll be sure to warn any of my friends ever participating in a local apt. search!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
