not very friendly community From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 8/11/2005 Years at this apartment: 2004 - 2005   I moved into the Saulet about a year ago. At the time I thought it would be great. Really I just saw the pool and the show unit and signed up. Honestly, it is a very nice place to live. The units are great, the pool is fantastic. BUT... the maintenance is pretty slow, the jacuzzi was broken half the year (been working lately), the gym machines are often busted (they eventually get fixed for the most part, except for that sad-ass punching bag). My biggest complaint, however, is that most of the people living here are shallow out-of-towners. There is no sense of community, just a lot of rich kids from up north doing grad school who care a lot about how they look. It's annoying. I used to be upset that people in the rest of the city thought ill of me when they learned where I live. Now I understand: most of the people here are uncool, set off from New Orleans in a sheltered world. I am glad that I am about to move out.
