The Saulet started as a fairly good experimence of New Orleans. A nicely situated apartment complex in the lower Garden District. We moved into the Saulet the summer of 2003. It took two months of living there before we noticed some of the "issues", they had to replace rotten boards on the balconies. The building back then was only 3 years old. After a year they closed down the access to the balconies, which was a huge part of why we chose the place to begin with. No one gave us any information on when we could expect the balconies to reopen (after two years they still have not reopened). $50 off was what they offered on a $1400 lease, which is outragous for not being allowed to access a 300 sqf balcony. When the storm hit, the information was nonexistent on when we could move back into the apartment, what buildings had sustained damage and so on. We had to wait 1/2 year before they let us back in (we where some of the "lucky ones"). We had to sign a legal waiver before being allowed to move back into the place. The place now is in poor shape. Lousy, arrogant service at the most (all the good people have left the place). Trash floating around everywhere, roaches, mice and rats are running around freely. Still they had the guts to increase the rent by $50 after the storm. We are now moving out of this place, and I'll be pretty glad when the move is done. Greystar will never be recommended by me to anyone.
