Worst Place EVER - DO NOT LIVE HERE

Let me just say that this place had problems before Katrina, and they have only gotten worse after Katrina.

For starters, this place looked like a dream.

Little did I know that when building this place, the owners cut every corner and made a very poorly constructed complex.

The place is falling apart! Pre Katrina, most of the balconies were falling off; they had to be on scaffolding.

A huge number of apartments were condemned due to Katrina, so keep an eye out for water leaks and mold inside when it rains.

**If you go to their website, take notice that their pictures all have a note that they were taken before Katrina.**
The management is full of mean people who only care about money.

After Katrina, they evicted all their residents and they are now charging more money for the apartments.

An example of the bad managment is that after Katrina they left my roommate and I homeless for weeks while they kept giving us the run around about when our apartment was going to be ready.

First they said in a week our apartment would be ready.

Then they kept changing which apartment number they were giving us.

Finally, they said it would be over a month before we could move in, and possibly longer! We were lied to by the leasing manager time and time again, and then when we were getting fed up, he dumped us on another person in the office staff who was also no help at all.

I fought for months to get my deposit back.

Finally I got it, but when I tried to cash my security deposit check, IT BOUNCED! I still have not gotten that money back.
A quick note on safety: this place sticks out like a sore thumb.

It is surrounded by very unsafe areas, and I would not walk outside at night.

Also, after Katrina, a friend in the complex had everything in his apartment stolen.

Here's the funny part...the apartment wasn't entered by force, so someone with a key broke in a stole his stuff.

Pretty strange!
They play off this place as a classy establishment, but beware of this place...it's a total scam!
