i would advise you NOT to move here. first, they will show you an apartment that looks nothing like the one you will get. there is a bug (termite') problem. there is a racoon problem. there were 6 racoons on my balcony one night when i came home, and they aren't afraid of people. when you turn in your 30-day notice, you should turn it in 2 months ahead of time. i turned my in exactly 30 days before i planned on moving out, and they didn't open it until the 5th. they told me it didn't count and that i would have to pay the next month. the security gates are useless. when they are closed, half of the time the code won't work (or the card won't work). i have a security system that no one knows how to program. the machine to put money on your laundry card never works. and the parking lot is awful. my stereo got stolen (when the security gates were actually closed) and someone hit my car. the office didn't seem to care about either situation. the grounds are not well kept. there are often bushes growing onto the sidewalks, and the streams are almost never cleaned. and let's not forget the murder a few weeks ago.
the only good thing i can say is that the maintenance workers have been friendly and they never come in without you knowing ahead of time (as far as i can tell). it does take forever for them to come and fix something though, but that's probably b/c the whole place needs fixed.
my advice would be to spend the extra money for a nicer place or live farther away from the city.
