For about ten months of my lease the roof has been leaking into the air conditioner leaving mold in the ducts that sprays black soot onto my sofa. There were multiple times they came into the apartment and "fixed" the problem only to find out when it rained that they painted over the wet spots. The carpet in the apartment got so severely soaked that the padding underneath it was also wet and the smell of mold was unbearable. This is when I suffered nausea and dizziness. After multiple complaints, I had the carpets cleaned myself in an effort to alleviate my suffering. I have complained to the staff of the apartment complex and written numerous letters to their headquarters, only to find out that the letters were automatically forwarded to the apartment manager/staff. After 10 months when I tried to sever the lease, they wanted to hold me to the lease cancellation costs of 2 months rent totaling 1,724. They have not provided me with a healthy and comfortable place to live. The Apartment Manager who seemed helpful at first quickly became agitated with the fact that I kept complaining. She admitted that the duct/vents were filled with mold and they needed to be cleaned, and that the apartment needed a new roof and full carpet cleaning. My last attempt at trying to leave the apartment resulted in a veritable shouting match between us, and her denying me any leave from this apartment, questioning my decision to leave the apartment 10 months later after I moved in and problems persist. this place is a waste of money, dont waste your time!!

i have posted comments on here also. This apartment complex is not worth a dime. I will have to agree that management (if you call them that) has attiude problems when you have a problem. Im soo happy that i have moved out and moved into the terraces 2 in metairie the cost is nothing compared to hell creek and i love the staff here(Terraes 2), and if you have a problem they send someone right away to fix it. I have lived in the terraces 2 for about 7 months and had no problems only one minor problem the bathroom drawers were dirty when we moved in, I then notified the office and the cleaning lady came by and re cleaned the apartment when it was only the bathroom drawer....it was very impressive(shows that they care about their residents). Check them out they will take care of you and not only that they have brand new renovated apartments, I currently live in one. Well if anyone has questions you can repost to this comment.

I hate this apartment complex as soon aas my lease ends, im out! I had the same issues but i was on the second floor, the roof water would hit the air conditioner on the 3rd floor and drain down to me

I hate this apartment complex there???s a perpetual leak in my bathroom. They fix it, it starts again, they fix it, and it starts again. It creates a hole in my ceiling, they fix it after like 5 months, and it leaks again and ruins the ------ repair job they did. A vicious cycle.

Wow. That was a terrible experience. I am glad that my experience was much better than that. I never had any problems with Hickory Creek and enjoyed my time there very much. My only complaint was that the air conditioner was very poor. I am glad that you posted pictures, so now prospective tenents will know there is validity to your complaints, not that you are just whinning. I wish that I had seen something like that in my current apartment. I do want others to know that I did have a very pleasant experience with Hickory Creek for the 1.5 years I was there.

wow! that sucks i hate the manager, Dinah is her name, and she is the epitome of someone who is either PMSing or just always a b#&$! i ahd to complain many time tos get the stairwells cleaned and put up some lights in the walkway, not to mention the cob webs and termites/termite damage. ugh! i wish i woukld have never signed taht stupid lease.
