Not worth it.

Let's start out with the good things and work our way back to why this apartment isn't worth renting.

When I first called about Williow Creek, I spoke to the assistant manager, who seemed to be really friendly, young, and inviting...

When we got there to view the apartments Cruella Daville (the manager) was our tour guide! She took us to view an empty apartment, which was supposed to be just like the one we were getting. It was nice and we were satisfied. So we decided to move in. The day we showed up to sign the lease and start moving in they tell us "ohhh uhhm... well... it's not ready yet!" Excuse me' I was pissed for one because they put us off for a week before this because they had repairs to make. They SCHEDULED us to come in on the day we did to sign the lease, but the repairs still weren't finished' Didn't add up. So we had to sit there and wait and wait and wait for it to be ready.

So the assistant manager decides, lets go ahead and sign the lease and then we'll get your keys to you as soon as they are finished. We told them we wanted to actually SEE *OUR* apartment, but she refused. She INSISTED it was the same as all the others and that we had already seen it.

So we were stupid and did what she said. So we get our keys go in and there are stains on the living room carpet, 4 faint red stains on the carpet in the bedroom where someone's bed posts were, food stuck to the kitchen walls, the air conditioner felt like someone was blowing their own hot breath on you, the blinds for the windows were covered in BLACK dust, and the door knobs for the bathroom and bedroom wouldn't lock and one wouldn't turn all the way.

So needless to say we were pissed. And on top of that, the apartment we had viewed prior to that was NOT the same as we were told. The manager told us that our apartment came with a microwave and an extra closet. Good thing we kept OUR microwaved because it was all bulls h i t.

After all of this we called them up and they said they'd send a maitenence man over as soon as they could. Aparently they had just moved in 2 or 3 other people too so we weren't really that important to them at that time. They already had our money anyway, why should they give a crap'

So when maitenence finally came out, two DAYS later, he walks in and he looks like he is about 90 years old....... He was a very very nice man, but he was very slow and had to come back 3 or 4 times after his first visit to fix everything. That tells me either he is too old to be doing this or Willow Creek REEEEALLY didn't clean the apartment or anything before we moved in.

So the biggest hassel was with our air conditioner. We literally have to close the vents off from certain rooms when we aren't in them so that we don't sweat to death.

We closed the vent in the kitchen for the most part and we now have to toggle which vent we want open from the bedroom and the livingroom.

It was ridiculous.

So we kept on complaining about the AC, they kept telling us that there was nothing they could do that it was just us..... so we requested a new ac unit..... We were pretty much laughed at. I was told, "These units were installed nearly 30 years ago and they don't make the parts for these anymore or the units muchless"....... so if they are that old, don't you think you should look into updating it a little'

Anyways.... overall, the apartment itself is ok.... it is an older unit, but that doesn't bother me.... what bothers me is being uncomfortable in my own home because of poor airflow.

One last thing, my brother also lived in Willow years before me. He said he never got his deposit back because of some crap the manager tried to blame on him. They blamed him for something that was already there when he moved in and refused to give him his deposit back.

Of course, he didn't tell me this before I moved in.

So I already figure I am screwed. When we moved in, as I said above, there was already stains on the carpet.

So I'm sure I won't get my deposit back.

On top of everything else. We pay almost 750 a month for a 1 bedroom. It just isn't worth it.
