I lived at these apartments for 3 years and really loved them. At the time I was a single mom with very little income, and these apartments were the absolute best for the price range. The manager is strict with the rules, but very nice and friendly toward everyone. She goes out of her way to hold resident parties for Halloween and Christmas, and the kids really enjoy it. There are a lot of elderly people, college people, and families; so it's really a mixtures of people. Plenty of kids around. For a family the surrounding area is fantastic- a library across the street, the duck pond, a snow cone stand, an excellent elementary school. The Mardis Gras Parades are close enough to walk to. The apartments themselves are decent- very large bedrooms and living room, walk-in closets. I never had a single problem with anything breaking down that wasn't fixed immediately; and it was never anything major just stuff like a clogged sink. I did hear about other people having issues, though.
Over all, I thought it was a excellent place to live and have recommended it to several friends.
