I moved into a two bedroom townhouse in Quail Creek three years ago (Oct 03). The office staff has on most occasions been helpful. The maintenance people on the other hand, were never taught the value of quality. Our ac unit went out (probably because it was/is an old, overworked unit. In the summer months, you're lucky to get the house within 8-10 degrees of what you have it set at) and was leaking water all over our stairs. It look multiple (10 ) calls plus having maintenance come look at the unit quite a few times before they decided they should replace it. When they were done replacing the unit inside (above the stairs), the randomly screwed the panel back into the ceiling, leaving screws exposed and not flush with the panel. Other items have had similar problems. When concerned about the door frame not securly holding the lock, they installed weather stripping around the frame. When we noticed the locks on the windows were missing, they gave us small clamps to hold the windows shut. When one window cracked from weather, instead of replacing it, the put silicone over the crack.

I lived in parking lot 5 (the largest one) and unless you parked your car before the normal quitting time, you would be hunting for a place to park. When inside of the apartment, you'll notice cheap labor was used. Very few cabinets, moldings, walls, etc. have straight lines or proper form. It's almost as if the builders/contractors forgot their levels when they built this place.

One last thing. Unlike most apartment complexes, who require rent to be payed by the 5th of the month, QC changed theirs policy when they changed owners last year to the 4th. You drop off your rent on the 5th, you had better include an extra $50. When looking into Quail Creek as an option, remember the price. It may be one of the more affordable, but that also means less responsible, people will be living there. At least three cars have been vandilized during my stay there. I'm glad I moved to Island Park.
