All of these reviews seem to set the tone for the catastrophy you might find yourself in if you decide to try out this apartment complex. Luckily I had wonderful neighbors to offset the aggravation and misfortune throughout the two years I resided in the back of the apartments. I feel its a better deal to live in the back as compared to the front area because its less congested and the buildings are somewhat newer, even though they all could do with a remodeling job without the tenant footing the bill. From reading reviews and my experience, it seems that Quail Creek loves military members because they can stick you with a large bill when you decide to leave. I know that the few people I have known in my work place who lived in Quail Creek either were stuck with new carpet and blinds bill, or some type of fee for damages. All the other complaints in the reviews are fairly true, especially the horrible air conditioning units that constantly drip and leak water all over the bathroom floor, creating mold and mildew. Ventilation is poor to non existent as well, leaving your home smelly and unhealthy. Almost all of the bathroom floors leak around the tub down into the apartment below, causing the ceiling to fall apart. This excess of moisture is very conducive for illness as well, be sure to change your air filters regularly. The doors and windows were not sized and sealed properly, leaving spaces to counteract the heating and cooling, in turn raising electric bills. The walls are very thin, and my apartment always smelled like the people that lived below me, ie; food, cigarettes, mildew, etc. For the longest time, the sewer would back up and leak near the parking lots between each building and flow down to the creek, leaving an unbearable smell besides the hazardous conditions it would create. Looking back now and still paying on unseen damages after moving, I realize aside from a great neighbor, living in Quail Creek was one of the worst choices of my life. I know it is hard sometimes and not everyone can afford a house or nicer apartment site, but living at Quail Creek is not a healthy alternative.
