I moved into this complex May 1999 with some reservations. I had never heard any unfavorable comments about it. But it just never suited my eye. Whenever I drove by on occasions, I would notice it but never thought I would be a tenant. I signed a six month lease initially and subsequently a year lease. A year turned into two and then three and I am still here. I am comtemplating retiring or at least semi retirement and am hopeful to own a home so that my grandchildren will have a place to visit and feel that it is more personal than an apartment. However until such time, I am satisfied in being here and calling this my home. The current manager and her staff are so nice and friendly. I always say that they try and spoil all their tenants. I stop by unannounced when time permits and chat about anything that I may have on my mind. When I am feeling under the weather, they are concerned. The manager is more like a daughter than a manager. I enjoy living here. When something is broken, it is usually fixed the same day. If it is not fixed the same day, the maintenance staff as well as the manager will apologize for not being able to get to it. Also, the grounds are well-maintained and it is extremely quiet. I really, really, really love this aspect of living in the Villages. The washer/dryer situation is something to be desired, but because it is serviced by a contractor, I suppose we will have to endure until another contractor is chosen. Lastly, I feel safe living here. When I forget something in my car, I use caution, but I am not afraid when going back to my car to retrieve it or on occasions when I arrive home after dark.
