Given the cost of rent, I would expect much better service and a much higher level of professionalism from the management. My apartment has not been renovated in many, many years. Soon after I moved to Westwood Village, management decided to cut down the pine trees to eliminate the source of needles that were clogging the gutters. Aside from my sadness at losing the trees and shade - desperately needed in the summer - I have been upset at the apathy with regard to doing something about the landscaping. A few handfuls of grass seed were thrown on top of unfertilized, unbroken soil. When it rains, the area around my apartment is essentially mud.

Still more problematically, the staff in the office are rather careless. They lose rent checks and assume that the renter is at fault (until Regions Bank tells them otherwise, that is!). Virtually no preventive maintenance is done on the property, and the maintenance staff is not given the resources to do their jobs effectively.

I have rented other apartments, both corporately managed and locally managed. Westwood Village is by far the worst, especially given the expense and less-than-ideal location. odusyNYCcZ7yL3Bj5JtG
