Audubon Gates

 

My family has lived in this complex since two weeks before Hurricane Katrina.

This is admittedly an older complex, but the grounds and pool area are maintained beautifully, and any issues I do have within the apartment have been rectified within 1-2 days.

The staff has been very accomodating, and even when they can't fix a problem, they at least try.

The downside of living here post-Katrina are the inconsiderate, rude and thoughtless people who have moved in.

I have had more problems with people double parking, so that it is almost impossible to get out without hitting their cars, when there are plenty of parking spaces, and issues when the entrance and exit gates (people refusing to go in the entrance and out the exit, choosing instead to do the reverse because it's more convenient to them) were broken than anything else.

The staff does get to whatever problems arise immediately, and they have been a pleasure to deal with.

The rent is reasonable, and the apartments, for the most part are relatively quiet.

There is the occassional neighbor who thinks EVERYONE should hear their music, but until the walls vibrate, it isn't really a problem.

I like the location - it's central to so many places.
