There are lots of spiders and mosquitos. Just when you think that you can sit outside and look at the water you begin to get bit by insects. I have found insects inside my house, especially spiders. I just noticed rat droppings in my utility closet on the balcony. There have been three different occasions when spiders were in my bathtub....when I was in it. I decided to move out since it has been such a hastle dealing with them. Oh, and I must not forget to mention that the fuses are constantly blowing out. Good luck having anyone help you. The staff is unfriendly and after I left, they made sure to keep my deposit after making several excuses as to why they weren't giving it back. The same incidence happened to my two neighbors as well.

What were their reasons for keeping your deposit??? I would love to know because they charged me an extra 1/2 months rent because my credit wasn't up to their standards. I tried to explain to her that I am dealing with identity theft but she didn't want to hear anything about it. So my total deposit was nearly $1000. I don't want to get screwed out of that much money!!!

Just be careful because they are very bad about that. The excuse was that I had an animal and that my carpet was not as to their satisfaction. Funny thing about that...I had a cat, wrote it on my lease, and as we know cats don't just pee on carpet. It was one of the many excuses they give. Then I started getting mold there and spent a fortune getting it out because they would not do anything about it. Just kept bugging the receptionist but don't let it bother you when she gets an attitude. Make sure you put your foot down. I was moving out of state and so they didn't bother to give it to me and then complained once I moved and kept calling about it. Good Luck!

Villa Du Lac staff go far and beyond their way to help. The office and maintenance personel are very friendly and professional. People need to keep in mind this is South Louisiana and we are and chose to be on the water.

I am currently living here and as for the management staff, I have a neighbor who plays loud "thumping" type music. I have asked the office to do something, but I have yet to see any action from them. If you are considering living here make sure you don't mind neighbors who play very, very loud music.
