My life at Alpine Commons

Years at this apartment: 2002 - 2003
Place seemed nice when we moved in, but things soon changed after the office recieved our deposit. There is not enough room here for me to voice my complaints about the office family. Within the first month there was no parking, leading them to tow my car to the tune of 120 dollars for not parking in a designated parking space. The maintainance crew was about as slow as the people in the office. We had some sort of hornets nesting in the wood above our apartments, when we told the maintainance man he told us he had no idea how to get rid of them, so we lived out the rest of our time there with angry hornets swarming us every time we left the apartment. In fact nothing was ever done to fix any problems we had. Utilities, these are not really free read your lease then read it twice more before you sign it. Our stairs were pitch black for months as the light above them had burned out, it was never fixed. The apartment are built so that they can be fixed up and repainted every semester and then fall apart within the first month. However if you like to study you should not live here, noise is a problem. The police are always there looking for some one. So I payed all my rent and moved out leaving my roomate to finish off the lease, unfortunately he was killed a few weeks later and was there fore never able to finish paying his rent. Thankfully Alpine was able to locate me and charge me the rent which I am still paying. So overall living here was the worst decision of my life. By the way they also own and operate Aspen Chase apartments.
