Years at this apartment: 2005 - 2007
My lease is up, at The Boulders, in a few days on May 31st 2007 and I have to say I m kind of sad to go. I've lived here 2 years. Before this, I lived in a house managed by Kamins real estate. If you REALLY want crappy maintenance and terrible customer service, you ll go there. I was shocked to see some of the ------ comments for The Boulders. My friends have apartments all over Amherst and when we want to keep it low key and just watch a movie we always pick my apartment! My rent was $975 for a 2 bedroom. I just paid the electric and Comcast. I think it s a deal but I m from NYC so any place is a deal compared to the city. I go to Golds gym but the gym here is cute. I used it a few times when I didn t feel like warming up my car and drive in the winter. That was pretty convenient. I hated the crappy laundry machines they used to have but they replaced them with nice ones last year. I was happy about that. The new ones do seem a little smaller. I ll take that any day over the old broken ones. When I first saw the buildings I thought they were ugly on the outside. When Silvia showed us the inside of the apartment I was sold! They re so big! She was really genuine and kind. The other managers I knew are gone. The new ones seem fine. I never had a problem in my apartment except for the hot water being shut off for a few hours for an emergency with the pipes. I wasn t even around but the office let my room-mate use the model to Shower! I recommend The Boulders if you want a relaxed, professional scene.
