Find another place.

Everything you have read or heard about this place is true.

I'm just counting down the days until my lease is up and you will too.

Let me tell you what I've witnessed living here for just 10 months...

1.

Exterior doors have no lock, meaning anyone can walk into your building.

And from there it's pretty easy to get through the door to your apartment, since it never shuts properly and the lock is easily broken.

2.

The walls and ceilings are paper thin.

EVERYTHING your neighbor does, you WILL hear.

3.

The roofing has holes and where there is no hole, the shingles are splintered.

Currently, there is a squirrel or mouse or something living in one of my walls that maintenance says they will not get rid of.

This thing scratches on the wall all night and all day.

4.

Delivery people DO NOT deliver here.

Want to know why' Because delivery guys have been mugged for the money.

Does that sound safe to you'

5.

This is place is like a breeding ground for drug dealers and major druggies.

I've actually been very close to being sexually assaulted by a drug addict.

6.

That brings me to security.

I've seen a security car maybe twice in a whole 10 months.

Never once have I actually seen them get out of the car.

7.

I live on the first floor.

The windows in the living room go down to the floor.

When the shades are up, people just stare in at you.

I've even had people I don't know knocking on my window.

The people here have no respect.

8.

Kids roam free with no supervision.

Again, living on the first floor, I have kids always running in the rocks that surround the building yelling and throwing the rocks.

9.

The people living across the hall from me have probably about 10 people living there right now.

And she is constantly calling the police to have her boyfriend removed because he is easily angered and starts a lot of trouble.

Maintenence only fixes things when it's convenient for them.

For example, we had called maintenence because our toilet tank was leaking.

Two days later they showed up to fix it while my boyfriend was in the shower.

But maintenence did not care, he just walked right in.

11.

Right after we moved in, the cabinets were falling off the walls (which maintence did fix however, they completely destroyed the wall under them), electrical outlets were dangling, paint was peeling, lights kept going out (which you're supposed to replace.

But good luck finding those bulbs ANYWHERE).

12.

ANTS! Everywhere! We have a huge ant problem.

And it took maintence a week to come and put powder around the edges of the apartment.

And now the ants are back!

13.

My lease is up on the 25th (why the 25th' I have no idea!), but no other apartment complex allows you to move in until the 1st.

So where am I supposed to go for 5 days'

If you do decide to move here, GOOD LUCK! Don't say you weren't warned!

From The Boulders Apartment Homes Staff, We donâ??t take these rating seriously because we have 256 apartments and our residents seem to be very happy here. However we see some false information. All of the leases do end on the last day of each month except for the month of August when they end on the 15th so we can turn over several apartments in a 2 week span. People have not yet seemed to have a problem thus far. We are proud of out fast and professional maintenance staff and we love our residents. Keep in mind during your apartment search that anyone can leave a comment on here including previous employees that weâ??ve fired, angry residents that weâ??ve evicted and other apartment complexes in the area. We take great pride in our community! We are an equal opportunity employer. We will rent to everyone who qualifies. We run credit and background checks on all our lease holders. Also feel free to call the Amherst Police for reports. We are one of the safest communities in the area. We do have a courtesy patrol on the property that walks through all of our buildings. I hope the Boulder's staff will take some of the "false information" more seriously. I would love to move there because of location and price, but I've been warned away by so many people. I've been told that the drug problem is serious there, and that there are often loud college parties. It's also a fact that many delivery places won't deliver there because of too many previous incidents. I hope you are working on the security issues. I'd suggest reaching out to some of the local restaurants and trying to reinstate delivery. Every time I look for apartments, I think about you, but I keep getting turned away by your reputation- the reputation evidenced by the 1 bad report here is the one I hear by word of mouth all the time.
