After reading a previous bad review i felt it nessecary to respond!

I have lived all over Amherst.

Townhouses, Alpine, Rolling Green, Echo Hill, and Village Park.

In that order, in that many years!!! I wonder why if the Boulders is SO HORRIBLE have i stayed for 3 years and am about to sign my new lease for a forth year' If you are looking for absolute quite, find a convent or retirement community.

Amherst isn't where you find that, not at any complex in town.

This is a college town, and while yes they should respect their neighbors, the college kids sometimes forget that.

But for the most part the kids here are great.

Weren't you occationally inconsiderate when you were in their position'

After living everywhere else in town i found the Boulders to be an amazingly relaxing atmosphere.

Certainly quieter than the Townhouses, or Alpine where there are all out bonfire bashes twice a weekend and students throwing up or smoking pot every 15 feet.

As for children running around unattended, it is "playing", if you think it is a huge issue, call the cops, the office and maintenance staff are not babysitters.

When i moved in, and i'm sure they say it to every "may-be resident", i was told that they rent to anyone who fulfills the criteria, students, families, and others alike.

The staff are not police either! I'm am not sure what "drug" activity is being referred to in previous reviews but in my tenure here i have seen very little "suspicious" activity.

And if you see something suspicious CALL THE COPS!!!! I frequently see the Amherst Police drive through and circle the property day and night, not as if they are looking for someone, but they are looking for the potential for trouble.

They are making their presence known, and as a resident that is a comfort.

The Boulders has also changed all the locks to the exterior building doors to keep the riffraff, and unauthorized out.

If residents or their children would stop jamming the locks on the doors it would help greatly to cut down on unauthorized hallway traffic.

If the lock on your apartment doesn't work call the office they will replace it! It's not that hard of a situation to resolve, atleast in my opinion.

And i have lived in places with thinner walls, Rolling Green for one.

My neighbor there would sneeze and i would say "bless you".

The only delivery that doesn't come through here is The Hanger, and they deliver to 3 complexes in town, out of however many.

I have not only seen the security guards on multiple occasions, but had conversations with atleast 2 of them while they were walking the halls of my building (they were OUTSIDE of their vehicle, duh!).

Both seemed very knowledgable and also were open to my suggestions.

Well i have had enough of responding to the overly rediculous accusations of that other person.

The way it works is, if something is broken, or out of wack, call the office.

Maintenance will come over and fix it.

I have found the entire staff to be extremely personable and willing to work with the residents to the best of there ability.

DON'T TAKE THE WORD OF WHAT SEEMS TO BE THE VILLAGE IDIOT!!!
(THEY ARE CLUELESS AS TO WHAT THE BOULDERS IS ALL ABOUT)

I do not believe this review. My guess is that it was written by the management. My reasoning? Every other review about The Boulders had been negative, and, living in Amherst, I have seen it. It is the most dangerous spot in an incredibly safe town. Your review contradicts everything said previously, and you made several grammatical errors. If you were to use shorthand, I would have ignored it. But you didn't. You used full English (as I am) but you made elementary mistakes, and that makes you look like an idiot. For your convenience, I have listed the errors below. Paragraph one: This is not a full paragraph. Paragraph two: You wrote; "I wonder why if the Boulders is SO HORRIBLE have i [sic] stayed for 3 years and am about to sign my new lease for a forth [sic] year' If you are looking for absolute quite [sic], find a convent or retirement community." It should be; "I wonder, if The Boulders is so horrible, why have I stayed there for three years and I am about to sign my new lease for a fourth year? If you are looking for absolute quiet, find a convent or a retirement community." Paragraph nine: "ridiculous" is not spelled "rediculous." Paragraph ten: The second-to-last word, "there" is a possessive pronoun and should therefore be "their." That is standard second-grade curriculum. Miscellaneous/Appears multiple times: "at least" is two words; you wrote "atleast" (all together) at least twice. Thank you for reading my response. I was very generous: there are many more mistakes, but I determined several of those to be typos and not actually idiocy. Have a nice day! P.S. If you are not yet fluent in English, I congratulate you on your skill level: you certainly fooled me. You may want to take these suggestions into consideration, but they are not particularly important errors and you have done a great job learning a foreign language. Now you know that everyone's a grammar critic (I had previously had the name of a political party in Germany during World War II in place of "critic," but it was censored by the website). Only if English is your first language should you feel dumb, because if it is then you are. Also, if you have a disability or medical condition that prevents you from using such nice English as I think everyone should speak, that's okay too. It's not your fault if you have trouble with language for a legitimate reason (e.g. dyslexia). P.P.S. I apologize that this came out as all one block of text; I had previously added line breaks to make it easier to read but the website removes any sort of formatting.
