I lived there for 2 years and found that it was okay to live in, especially for the cost.
I got lucky -- the apartment building had been refurbished just two or three years before I moved in. Everything was in good condition.
The Kamins people are not the nicest or most helpful around. Since most everything worked well, I didn't have to deal with them too often.
I never saw the dead car problems that the other reviewer mentions, but there were fire alarm issues. I think it's a bit scary that my building burned a few years before I moved in (hence the refurb) and another Kamins place across the street burned up quite badly in my 2nd year there. With the fire alarm problems, that's not a good sign.
I also agree with the noise problem. I often heard my neighbors argue.
