Great place for me!

I lived in the same apartment at Colonial Village for three years during my undergrad and grad years at UMass. I really enjoyed that time for the following reasons: the bus stop is right there, the rent is affordable, the heating system worked great and I appreciated that it was divided between all the rooms, the maintenance staff was amazing (trust me, it's rare), and it was relatively quiet...true, a building was on fire at one point and someone set the trash bin nearby on fire and someone was always running into the lamp post outside but it was much quieter than the typical undergrad complexes as far as partying was concerned. It also helped in the winter living on the second floor because heat travels up. But yes, it's slightly sketchy and there is no a/c for people that can't live without it in the summer. There are also no pets allowed, a rule everyone breaks and the staff is generally good about ignoring unless it gets out of hand. Either way, I would still recommend this place.
