Mill Valley in Amherst is affordable housing. Along with affordable housing comes people who have too many kids to take care of, drug addicts, and people who cannot speak English.

- Everything in your apartment will break at some point and maintenance will get around to addressing the issue in a few months. (Low quality everything in the apartment)We thought it was just our apartment.. but this goes for everyone in our building.

- There are children running around at all hours of the day, very early and very late, without supervision.

- Many of the apartments have 8 or more people living in them because they are borderline homeless. Many of these people are ghetto non English speakers.

- The selling point it seems is a basketball court (no hoops) a garden.. (haven't seen any yet) walk ways and paths ( ridden with trash and glass)

-The staff are incompetent. They have tried to scam us multiple times and once tried to evict us over 67 cents .. which was their fault anyway.

-Parking is every man for himself. Sometimes you'll find yourself walking a half mile in the weather from your car to your place.

-Free heat' yah, comes with the package, but its regulated by the office.. so your apartment is whatever temperature they see fit... which is either very cold or very hot.


I don't know one normal or sane person who would enjoy their time here. College students: if you think this is a nice place to stay for a few semesters think again. Lots of kids, and police are quick to arrest. Parents' home seekers' I'm a 6 4' man and I feel unsafe at times.


Don't make the same mistake we did. Bring your business elsewhere.

I smell racism. Maybe this person should take a time machine back to apartheid South Africa and live in an all-white gated community. Maybe then he's feel "safe." On another note, if there are so many "ghetto" druggies, why should it be a problem if the police are quick to arrest. Unless YOU are doing something wrong.
