Some may say this complex is over-priced, but you are paying for location. The proximity to campus and the constant buses can't be beat. However, if you're looking for posh facilities and apartment fixings, Puffton probably isn't for you. The construction is cheap and the bedrooms are small.
Parking - There's a bunch of visitor parking, but it's not really "enough" so the overflow makes it sometimes difficult to get a spot near your building.
Noise - I would say the bulk of Puffton residents are students, and some of the students party a little too hard (and loud) some nights. Generally however, it's not too bad. Don't move here if you're looking for constant peace and quiet. Do think about it if you like a lively atmosphere. It also depends where you live - some quads are quieter than others. And it is usually NOT full of drunkards at all hours of the night, contrary to some people's beliefs.
Grounds - Kind of blah. Quad space to share to play lawn sports and cook out, etc. There's a pool, which is lovely in the hot summer months (although Puffer's Pond is only a quick jog/drive/bike ride away!!)
Safety - My roommates and I didn't experience any issues during our time there.
Construction - Cheap. The layout, especially of two/three bedroom lofted places, is really poorly designed. The place costs a fortune (in electric) to air condition and/or heat. We needed a toilet and a furnace replaced. The other fixtures and appliances aren't any better.
Maintenance - Due to the cheap construction, you may find yourself calling maintenance a lot.. however the maintenance staff is EXCELLENT and the response time is fantastic - they usually arrive within the day, and if not they will be there bright and early the next. They usually do a good job.
Staff - They don't exactly give you warm and fuzzy feelings, but they get the job done. They'll give you a phone call if there's an issue with your account, and they keep excellent records. They are organized and helpful when you need it.
Again, this place is not a palace by any means, but if you are a student looking to live close to campus I would definitely recommend it. It's a very friendly community if you're into meeting new people, and is great for people who are just looking for a fun/convenient though not necessarily gorgeous place to live.
