I lived here for two years while a Grad student at Umass. I would have rather been homeless. Why'



1. The complex is adjacent to another complex, The Boulders, and there are constant parties at both complexes. The police are here every weekend.



2. In the buildings with apartments there are no secure entries. Anyone who wants to come in does...anytime. Also, it was common to have your car broken into. My car was vandalized two times. Management had no comment.



3. Need repairs' Forget it. Unless you stake out the rental office you will never get a response. In my two years I had the following happen:

bathroom leaks, fridge stopped working, garbage disposal stopped working, vent in bathroom so clogged could only see black lent coming from opening, roof leaks (6 in all), water coming from an electrical outlet, holes in ceiling.



3. The main areas such as halls are filthy and often littered with trash. In my building, the front door was smashed in three times.



4. Want peace and quiet' Not here. Walls are paper thin. I could even hear my downstairs neighbor using the bathroom.



5. Safety' Nope. I witnessed drug deals and beatings in the parking lot. The management?s response' Call the police. I did, MANY times.



6. For my 1 bd. apt I paid $700 a month. Yes...all to live in a student ghetto.



Don?t even look at this one unless you are a glutton for punishment.
