The Avondale

 

There is not a single positive thing I could say about Avondale: worst place to stay.
Old equipment, broken a/c, loud neighbours (stereo or TV on until 3am), kids without supervision damaging cars (my damage was $900), loud parties on the premises sometimes throughout the night.

Over approx.

4 months hot water was only available occasionally (management was not able to fix boiler issues earlier).

Cops show up on a regular basis (don't know if this is a good sign though...).

Terrible smell inside the buildings.

Trash is picked up in the middle of the night.

I have seen people actually sleeping on the aisles in the buildings.

The a/c for the aisles in the buildings creates a lovely humming sound 24/7.

These are just a few examples...

The average rent here is $1100.

I stayed here for one year because of my job.

Thank god I will be moving this month.

Just look around...you will find something way better (e.g.

on craigslist.com) for the same money or even less.
