Do yourself a favor and keep looking. I picked Brook Haven Estates because it was close to work, and seemed like a good deal. It was priced $100 to $200 lower than the other complexes in town. But like they say - you get what you pay for.

The property has a lot of potential, and SHOULD be a nice place to live. But all of the problems that we experienced, and every complaint that I've heard from my neighbors comes down to one thing - terrible management.

TAMMY FEENEY IS BY FAR THE WORST PROPERTY MANAGER I HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED. Once you sign on the dotted line, forget about customer service. Tammy does not know the meaning of the word.

And forget about maintenance. Repairs are hack jobs. Plowing and snow removal is poor. The staff really doesn't care about this place. They seem to dispise Tammy as much as the tenants do. In their defense, they are probably understaffed for a complex of this size.

Dumpsters get full after a few days. You'd think that more dumpsters would be ordered, or more pick ups scheduled. Nope, just another nasty gram from Tammy telling tenants to walk around the complex from dumpster to dumpster until you find one with room for your trash.

The walls are very thin. The floors creak excessively, to the point where you can hear every step from upstairs. OK at first, but really annoying in the middle of the night when you can hear every step.

The heating system never made sense to me. The electric coils are built into the ceiling. Heat rises, so guess where the heat goes' Really not a smart design. It cost us $150 to $200 a month to keep a 2 bedroom minimally warm during the winter months.

First floor apartment' More like basement apartment. And if you're lucky enough to have a nice view of the pond, think again. After one walk or drive through the mine field of goose dropping, you'll close your curtains.

Like I said, this really should be a nice place to live. And it would be if it was managed properly. But as long as it is (mis)managed by Tammy Feeney, find another place to live.
