This place has real noise problems.Having lived in apartments on Thayer Street in Providence(Brown University crowd), I thought that I could never have a problem with noise.Afterall, what could be worse than living with 8 students who party and get drunk.
However, I must say that I was mistaken.Jefferson at Bellingham is definitely worse in terms of noise than any place I have ever lived in.No apartment is noise proof and you can always hear your neighbors a bit but here it is much worse. If you don't live on the top floor , you are screwed because the noise above will be terrifying. You will hear people walking above, dogs barking ,running , even people talking and their more intimate activities.
On the plus side, it is a fully applianced apartment and relatively new.A nice gym, decent rental office etc but none of it matters if you can't get a good night's sleep.Other negatives, no storage room ,one dumpster which is often full and stinks and lots of pets (including large dogs upto 60 or 70lbs), some misbehaved.
There are definitely other places where you can get a better bang for your buck.Stay away if you can.

How is the noise side to side and below you??? If you live on the top floor does that negate lots of the noise???

Actually, the noise below is not too bad but the side noise is a little bad.I went into my walk-in closet one day and could hear everything going on in the bedroom of the next apartment(sideways) and was a little taken aback.
If you live on the top floor, you have an advantage in the fact that you don't have to worry about people on top but the side noise would be there.
Hope I was helpful.

very helpful....my wife and I are planning on moving in in August, and we are tentatively planning on this place, but in a top floor apartment, and I always feel like talking to people who actually live there is the only way to go, cause you can only tell so much by visiting it....What are the other people like in the complex? Friendly enough? How often would you hear noise side to side? Was it a loud music kind of thing? or more of a muffled noise? Did it ever keep you awake at night? Cause thats my only true worry. I take it you are in a 2nd floor apartment?

Yes,The people in the complex are not too friendly but again , they are ok and definitely not unfriendly.Nothing to complain there.
The real problem I had with the sideways apartment was their TV (at night), which used to disturb me .I think the people there have moved since then and the apartment is vacant making things better for me.The real problem now is the noise coming from above me.

Seems like an unnecesarily harsh review if your only complaint is hearing people above you, isn't it? I mean you gave everything a 1.
