The apartment complex and facilities are quite nice, but that should be expected for the price. Definitely a poor value.
My biggest complaint would be the management who in my opinion aren't trustworthy and misleading. I was told when I moved in that the sewage problem would be fixed and that it "just started". I learned later that it was going on for a year. A year later it is still a problem. The whole facility reeks of raw sewage after it overflows which is a couple times a week. Absolutely disgusting. I have had multiple issues with management and they have proven to be completely inept. With that being said, I would not recommend this complex to a potential renter.

We got out of lease early, only because we threatened them with court, called the board of health as our apt in building one reaked of human waste..they told us it was the "the way the wind blew threw our vents from outside" that made half our apt stink. We pd for a third floor 2 bedroom we couldn't use 1 bed/bath because the smell was coming in from a pipe below into our ventilation. We even tried the Attorney General of Mass. Thankfully all avenues pd off, and we didn't have to take it to court. But I agree with you 110%. They told us the smell would be fixed in 2007 too. They also said the gate would be fixed as it "always seems" to break down. They are totally misleading. They act nice until they have your name on the dotted line, then godforbid you complain about crap "literally" while paying over 1800 dollars..they don't want to hear it.

Glad to hear I am not the only one that has experienced these problems with management and the disgusting smell. It feels like you just rented the Penthouse that quickly becomes an Outhouse.... I agree that the management fills you full of lies just to get you to move there... The sewage problem has been there for years... Not just a recent problem, they've tried 'correcting' this issue a number of times for close to 4 years...! Also there was a lot of riff-raff living there when I was there. I also heard they had there main office broken into and all the office computers were stolen. So any one that had personal information (ie: tenants) on those machines have now been exposed to possible identity thieft.. Just so you know, there is no such thing as a 'secure' computer. Its just a matter of how skilled a thief is at code breaking. I am so glad to have moved out to a better place... Good luck to all at the Jefferson.
