Don't bother renting here, unless you want to feel like you live in the projects, the class of people has gone way down hill. There are people that smoke and stand right in front of the doorways, when u have to walk in with your dog or your kids!!! Which by the way is a fire hazard. There are trash issues, the lazy people that live here, don't throw the stuff away in the compactor they just leave it sitting outside the compactor! They really need a maintenance person to work on the weekend, so that trash wouldn't accumulate. There are building issues-- they weren't built as good as they should be for the price of them--roof leaking damage from winter, not much sound proofing. The only good thing is that the maintenance does come fix things pretty quickly.

We are NOT trashy people!!! The problem lies in the fact that they need an additional compactor. Get rid of the useless extra recycling bin as it is not utilized the the way it should be. I agree someone should be around on the weekends to monitor trash (doesn't the head of maintanence live onsite and should be checking????) Might add that the septic system has been totally redone and there is definitely no odor at all (which was a problem) Many great new improvements have been done recently and are continuing to be done. I commend the staff and definite would recommend living here. I have been here a very long time.

well, anonymous, maybe it is a great place for you to live. Maybe you don't have a problem in your building with rif raf but we do. I think when we moved here the people were pretty nice, but some of the people that live here in our building are TRASHY. Like I said they shouldn't be smoking right in front of the doorway, it doesn't say much for the mgmt if they allow that either. The people who don't smoke shouln't have to inhale there smoke! I would not recommend living here now.

I don't think the original writer meant that everyone was 'trashy', but they have a valid point. There are a number of sec.8 residents here at Jefferson and I'm assuming theses are the folks that they maybe referring to. I have a bunch in my building and they are very disruptive with parties, smoking and extremely inconsiderate to ours in the building. Unfortunately, the Jefferson is bound by the sec.8 laws and has to allow low-income families in; at a huge discount, I might add... The fact that management FINALLY fixed the smell, we??ll see about that, but the fact it took how many tries and how many years! In addition, we all paid big money to live here, there??s no excuse for that... Also, the continual need for ??improvement?? is ridicules, this place is still fairly new, it shouldn??t need improving if it was done right the first, second or even third time with some things?? Overall, it is a decent place, but Soooooooo not worth the money?? With the falling of home prices and the lowered cost of renting a house, those are two better alternatives??

Well as far as the smell goes it sure smelled bad this morning. Yes the head of maintenance does live here in my building as a matter of fact and he is useless so don't expect him to do anything extra here. He and the management staff are all useless. You would think they would have some pride and give a little extra. That's a joke. As far as smoking goes people smoke inside my building all the time..and our head of maintenance is one of those violaters. Well I'm stuck here a little while longer..hope to get out soon. Good luck with those worthless office staff.
