I lived in Apple village way back in the early 80's to late 80's. IT WAS BAD THEN PEOPLE. Drugs,alcohol,violence....and even murder...and all the crap that comes with public housing. However my most memorable life experiences happened there.Im glad to see that it is still up and running.Im sure from what I've read that it's in need of fixing. But truth be told, it's alot better then some of the rentals I've come across.We cant help the "drug dealers and user's and alcoholics"...Never gonna happen....find another outlet. Never easy living in public housing...I lived in more then one public housing project in Beverly. Sometimes the worse enemy is ourselves. We gotta learn to ignore all the "busybodies" all the gossip hounds..and those whom we would just rather not live near.Easier said then done I know.My fondest memories were hanging out on the dirt road,partying at the water tower,annoying the golfers on the course lol,....and the people I met most of all........I know what your probably saying.....what the hell does she know.....it's 2007........Well your right....all I know for certain is this....I was 12 when I moved there..I basically grew up there. It's never an easy task to aclimate to public housing....but if I did it so can you.The rent may suck but it's better then two grand a month. Im 37 years old now.........I moved when I was 18......I will forever remember my time there...Thank You........PS...my address there was...801 Manor road...Take care all......Tina
