Infested with Fleas
From: -Anonymous-Date posted: 2/14/2004
Years at this apartment: 1984 - 1985
My husband and I lived at Folly Hill back in 1984 and broke the lease after a few months because our ground floor apartment was horribly infested with fleas (and we had no pets either). The walls were paper-thin and you could always hear the next door neighbors talking, snoring, fighting or watching tv. The kitchen (which was narrow and without enough storage or countertop space) was furnished with appliances that were a bit on the old side and there was no dishwasher in the unit. The hallways were quite hot and stuffy in the summer (no ventilation) and the building's laundry room did not have an adequate number of washers and dryers to accomodate its tenants. Also, the location of the complex was inconvenient as the only way to go southbound on 128 was to drive north about a mile or so and then turn around at the next exit. That got to be a bit irritating after awhile.
