My my, their are some nosey neighbors in this complex.
There area many negative posts about section 8 families living at Folly Hill. Can you differentiate who is on Section 8 and who isn't' How dare you insult people who are less fortunate than you. Maybe the biggest mistake these woman have made was believing in the man who promised them the world, and all they gave them was a child to raise on their own.
In regard to the pool; the pool is to be used by ALL residents, not just by full rent payers. Also, it's better for kids to spend the summer at the pool learning to swim and having fun than it is for them to spend their summer indoor playing Play Station. Obviosly, the person who complained about not getting a chair at the pool because of all the section 8 "scum bags" who are there at 11am doesn't have any kids, or they would know that its easeir to watch kids outside than it is inside.
How people pay their rent is of no one's concern.
In regard to the ladies in the office; lets get the facts straight, they are thier to do a job, not be your friend. And in regard to the two maintance guys, they do go out of their way to fix what's broken.
And has anyone noticed that the grounds are kept up every week by an outside landscaping company' Also, on Wednesdays, a cleaning company comes in and vacuums the hallways and the laundry room.
Who has room to complain' Stop all the whinning, if you don't like it here, you can always move out.

Hi, im interested in Folly Hill which is very close to my job where i work a 40 hour week. Yeah, i have recently received my section 8 voucher(after waiting 3 years). Im a 27 y/o single guy who is struggling.. Does that make me white trashy scum? I'm quiet and keep to my self and have 0 criminal record.. I just don't make enough to live on my own without some help. People who judge everyone, just because they are on section 8 are very ignorant. Yeah, im sure alot of them are "trashy" but not all of them.. Theres alot of trouble makers with people who make a good income also you know. |

You don't understand. We aren't judging people because they are on section 8. We are judging people because they are dirty white trash, who HAPPEN to also be on section 8. When I go to the pool after a hard days work, its not even that I can't get a chair, its that once the scumbags leave they leave beer bottles and candy wrappers all over the pool deck. Its not that I hate people on section 8, I hate that the people who should be respecting the property most because they have assistance to live there, actually respect the property the least by throwing cigarette butts and garbage all over the parking lot. They scream at each other on the treet by day, and have kareoke parties until 2am on a wednesday night (because they of course don't have to work). Hey, I don't mind if you don't have a job because you are watching your kids... just have a little goddamn respect for the people around you. Its just the gerenal attitude that put them on section 8 in the first place - expecting that someone else will do everything for you. Thats why they litter everywhere! Because they really believe that thats what the landscapers are for! To pick up their garbage! "And has anyone noticed that the grounds are kept up every week by an outside landscaping company? Also, on Wednesdays, a cleaning company comes in and vacuums the hallways and the laundry room. " Yes that would be they way you see things isn't it. Thats why you leave nail clippings on the starwells and potato chip bags and beer cans on the front steps. Because everyone else is here to serve your lazy white trash ass. |

To Billings11, Wow, you're one pissed off neighbor. I have an idea who you're talking about, and without naming names, like somepeople have done, I think you're talking about the teenagers. I have not seen any adults throw beer bottles, or nail clippings, or candy wrappers about, but I have seen this done by some teenagers. The gym is a perfect example of this. Teenager's wrote all over the walls in the gym, and someone trashed it to the point that it closed down until camera's were installed. If your section 8 neighbors are so noisy at night, have you tried asking them to lower the volume? 10pm is the legal quiet time; you have the right to call the police if they don't comply with your request. They will comply with the cops. Why don't you lighten up? Your attitude could really be hindering you from making some nice friends. Who knows, you could be friendly with a section 8 recipient and not even know it. Judge people based on observations, not income. Like Suzie Orman Financial guru says; "You net-worth does not determine your self-worth." |
