Really Improving

I have to say I agree with the last review. Since the new management company took over, it's clear they are trying hard to improve the property, as well as the living standards of their tenants. The grounds are being constantly maintained now, the maintenance department is always on the grounds working on the apartments and making improvements, and yes - after how many years - they are finally fixing the fitness center! It seems they are making it a more livable community and I'm glad they took over. They are professional, no nonsense and really are trying to fill the apartments, 73 of which were vacant when the property was sold. Plus the quality of tenants appears to be going up, also a result of the new management. A great deal for the price! Also, I am a dog owner and I, too, feel the dog owners who don't clean up after their dogs are a nuisance and just plain lazy. If you want to own a dog, be responsible enough to clean up after it please.

You should get out now. I left last year and it was the best thing I could have done. You don't realize how refreshing it is to have decent neighbors! I'm not saying everyone in folly hill was horrible. I met some really nice people and families too. But probably about 40% of the people there were disrespectful scum who should really have their children taken away from them to be raised in a healthier family.

I also agree with that... And i def. dont think that the people that they are allowing to move in now are going to be any better. Think about it, They just bought the place and are trying to fill the empty appartments in. Do you really think that they are paying any attention to who their letting in... I dont... they all seem to be pritty young.. i think the worst has yet to come for this place!!! I cant wait to get out... and if they think that they are getting ANY of my security deposit, they have another thing coming!!! Nothing in my place has been fixed or even looked at!!!

I'm sure the new management is tring hard to make good and they seem to have quite a bit to go though. We left last month and were very happy to do so. The buidlings are tired and have little to be desired. I must confess we were very fortunate to have excellent neighbors. It was the one and only redeeming quality that saved us from vacating sooner. We had it all, mold and copious amounts of mildew. Weird foul odors coming from our toilet even after scrubbing it down. It would not matter what chemical or natural cleansers they were. The water in general was odorous
as well. The first shower of day smelt as if I were washing in urine. The bathroom door always had to remain shut because of this reason and I learned to hold my breath when near the toilet bowl. Worst of all we could never ever have friends or family over. A whole year went by with my making excuses not to have holiday suppers or a family members birthday party. All of our concerns were NOT ADDRESSED by the old office staff. It made us so bitter when we gave our notice and were asked if there would be anything that could be done to make us stay, the answer was no. This went beyond the people, the unclaimed poop and their butt-smokin' walkers.
There were just too many days I chose to sit outside and not go in to the place after coming home from work.

Well, I live in 5 Apple, and I wrote the 'great' review that was posted on the same day. And I don't work for Folly Hill.
People who post on this site get an email when a review is posted, I was notified that an update had been done and I thought I'd chime in about the new management.
