I lived in this dump for about 1 1/2 years. Let me tell you, at first I thought the place had potential. Its antique charm could be restored with just a little refurbishing. But soon I realized that the graffiti scrawled about the complex would never get fixed, and the place was utterly filthy more often than not.

The management company, Fineberg companies, while located in Wellesley, never bothers to drop by and witness how filthy the apartments are for themselves. Regardless of the outside weather conditions, the building gets cleaned once a week. So if its snowy and dirty outside, you can expect the halls of the building to get dirty very, very quickly. No matter how much you complain, they still clean the damn place only once a week! And when I say clean, I mean that they will just sweep the entry way (i.e. only a small portion of the first floor), while neglecting the rest of the building! There are times during the messy winter months when there will be a thick black layer of dirt lining every square foot of the building. No matter how much you complain, Fineberg realty seems powerless to remedy the situation. They seem so concerned and polite when you call them to complain, but in reality they are unable to actually get anything accomplished.

And their maintenance crew is slow to respond. If you do give them a legitimate complaint, it will take them days to actually follow through. And when they actually get around to doing the repair, it's usually so shoddy and it's usually the absolute bare minimum effort possible. Hopeless!

The company they use to clean the buildings, Econ-O-clean, must be the laziest and dimmest group of cleaners ever. Even if the hallway floors are covered with black soot, they will only sweep the foyer to the building, ignoring the adjacent areas of filth!! Or they will sweep the surface grime away, then not mop the really stuck-on stuff! How silly!

The laundry facilities in the basement suck. They are hardly maintained so you can expect to put in about 40 quarters into the dryer to get your clothes half dry. Plus, the basement hallway is carpeted with the biggest damn mutant ROACHES you've ever seen in your life. The ones that give you nightmares and make you want to run! Again, good luck getting management to do anything about any of the problems.

I found it embarassing to have people over to visit. Overall i do NOT recommend this place. Poor maintenance and poor upkeep make this place not worth the rental fee.

In a real estate market that is now a renters and buyers market, why doesn't this company do something to spruce up their buildings' No wonder many of their apartments are currently vacant. Shame on you Fineberg companies!
